A poker hand consists of five cards. Each card’s value is in inverse proportion to its mathematical frequency, meaning that more rare cards have a higher value than common ones. A player can win a hand by calling (matching) a bet from other players, or by bluffing. In the latter case, a player is able to gain an advantage from his or her opponents’ fear of his or her bets.
